Q- in which maquiladora did you work?

A- ABC, we would fabricate electrical boxes, with all the wiring, I worked there for two years, my shift was from 3pm to 12am, it was exhausting, I was tired, we would paint aluminum boxes, one after the other, I would return them to the assembly line, for them to go into the next machine.

Q- all three of you worked there? 

A- no, one of them worked in another maquiladora, the second one worked as a construction worker and I would work in that other plant. but all three of us would share a car, one would volunteer and offer to pick up the rest. on that day we were running some errands and asked one of them for a ride to the store, but we decided to get gas first. we were on the way to the store and decided it was better to go to the gas station but instead turned back home. we were approaching a steep road. I felt what I thought was a car crash. that’s when I got hit with one bullet. It entered my right arm at the biceps, then hit me in the jaw, then hit the driver.
